I rebuilt my personal site with Astro and shadcn/ui. The rules: monochrome, monospace, plenty of whitespace.

Stack

  • Framework: Astro (static output)
  • UI: shadcn/ui (React components used from .astro files)
  • Styling: Tailwind CSS v4
  • The GitHub contribution graph is fetched at build time

The only JavaScript on the page powers the theme toggle and the heatmap tooltips.
